4.6 Data-Driven Decision-Maker

ISTE standard 4.6 asks coaches to be informed decision-makers.  This involves looking at multiple data sources to make decisions about digital tool selection and pedagogy, as well as supporting educators in using data to inform their own work.  This standard also asks educators to carefully source data with both security and ethical considerations in mind. Each substandard provides evidence for having met standard 4.6 through written investigations and applied learning.

ISTE Standard 4.6 Reads: Coaches model and support the use of qualitative and quantitative data to inform their own instruction and professional learning.

Coaches:

4.6a Assist educators and leaders in securely collecting and analyzing student data

4.6b Support educators to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform their decisions and support individual student learning

4.6c Partner with educators to empower students to use learning data to set their own goals and measure their progress
